Carbon Removal in the Middle East: Building CDR and Regional Strengths

This session would ask what regional implementation means in the Middle East. Speakers would explore the regions strengths, including subsurface expertise, geological storage potential, industrial capabilities, energy infrastructure and capacity for large scale project delivery alongside the policy, market and intuitional gaps that remain. The session would also examine how CDR can support wider national priorities such as industrial decarbonisation, innovation and economic diversification while delivering high-integrity climate outcomes.
