CDR and the Global Climate Action Agenda

Durable carbon removal has grown fast over the past few years. It is still nowhere near where it needs to be.

At COP31 in Antalya, CDR2030 is hosting a session that looks at both of those facts together. Leading experts will share the latest evidence on where durable CDR stands today and how far the current trajectory is from both the 2030 target of 100 Mt of capacity, and the deployment needed to meet larger climate goals.

This session will cover current work to bring CDR into the Global Climate Action Agenda, and into sectors well beyond the usual suspects.

Then we’ll debate what it takes to close the gap: which policies matter most, who needs to move first, and what COP31 outcomes would signal real commitment.
